Borana Lodge is located in the outskirt of Nanyuki situated on a 35,000-acre, wildlife rich, private, working cattle ranch, 16 miles from the equator, adjacent to the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy.
Overlooking the Samangua Valley, Lewa Plains and the Ngare Ndare Forest, Borana is an idyllic setting for any safari experience. Named after the Boran cattle farmed in the arid grasslands, Borana was built in 1990 using local, sustainable materials.
Located within a 35,000 acre working ranch, Borana has been home to the Dyer family for three generations. The first eco lodge in the area, Borana Lodge continues to work with the community to preserve and conserve its environment.
